Megan Fox motorcycle leathers expected to fetch thousands in upcoming auction
Its a motorcycle outfit that may have only spent minutes on the big screen, but an auction house expects fans to pay thousands to own it.
The very fact it was worn by this summer's sex symbol Megan Fox has everything to do with the motorcycle leathers high price tag.
Fox's black leather motorcycle costume along with more than 100 other props used in the recent blockbuster "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" are being auctioned in Los Angeles next month.
Motorcycles have taken center stage in 2009, being featured in many high profile movies from the latest edition of the Transformers to killing machines in the Terminator franchise.
But it was Megan Fox that caught the eyes and imagination of film-goers and reviewers for her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. With her character working in a motorcycle custom shop, the most widely circulated picture from the movie featured Fox draped over a V-Twin.
Its the black leather jacket, pants, shorts and tank top, that are expected to fetch an estimated $3,000 to $5,000 in the upcoming auction.
According to a report by Reuters anything worn by Fox was in great demand by collectors.
"'Transformers' made her a star and I expect her costumes to perform very well at auction," Joe Maddalena, president of Profiles in History told the news reporting agency.
However, it appears from a pre-release interview that the only place Fox would be on a motorcycle in real life would be on the back as a passenger.
"I am supposed to ride one in the movie but I can’t actually ride one so they are going to have someone push me on it into the frame. We did that already but I think we are going to have to re-shoot it because it did not look very realistic," Fox said in an interview.

Recently gossip columns and Hollywood media outlets were buzzing as Fox's Tranformers co-star Shia LaBeouf sat in the motorcycle saddle again for a scene in an upcoming movie. The young Hollywood heartthrob weaved his way through movie-made traffic in the streets of New York City as he shot a scene for "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps".
Although he reportedly can ride a motorcycle, LaBeouf doesn't seem to attract the same attention in his biker gear as non-ride Megan Fox.
