Motorcycle rentals ride into Michigan

As passionate as some motorcycle enthusiasts may be about riding across the country to tour an American landmark, a limited number of vacation days or simply life can quickly get in the way.

One of the solutions is to fly and ride, renting a motorcycle close to the area a rider would like to enjoy.

The state of Michigan with its Great Lakes have opened up to bikers with the opening of two new EagleRider motorcycle rental outlets. One is located in Cement City with the other in Tecumseh.

Motorcycle enthusiasts can now experience the natural beauty of the Great Lakes on the back of their favorite Harley-Davidson or Honda motorcycle.

Riders can rent a Honda Goldwing and cruise the seemingly endless 3,200 miles of Michigan coastline; see the rocky shores, colorful cliffs and more than 120 lighthouses. Or grab a Harley-Davidson Road king and ride across the Mackinac Bridge which spans the narrow strip of water where Lake Huron and Lake Michigan come together.

EagleRider pioneered the Harley-Davidson motorcycle rental concept in 1992 and today operates the world's largest motorcycle and powersport rental fleet from premier manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson, Honda, BMW, Victory motorcycles and Vespa scooters. EagleRider's expansion of its franchise rental facilities targets global tourist destinations and currently offers rental facilities in the USA, United Kingdom, Austria, Australia, Spain, France, Ireland, Mexico, Costa Rica, and New Zealand.

Located East of Detroit, EagleRider Cement City began renting motorcycles on October 1, 2009. Their rental fleet consists of late-model Harley-Davidson and Honda motorcycles, Can Am Spyders, ATVs and Side-by-side utility vehicles. EagleRider Tecumseh will begin renting Harley-Davidson motorcycles beginning in the spring of 2010.

"Providing motorcycle rentals in Michigan was a natural fit for EagleRider," said David Goff, Marketing Manager of EagleRider, "Detroit's automotive history, the Kalamazoo Air Zoo, all the lighthouses, and the Great Lakes, Michigan has many attractions and destination for tourists to experience. Seeing them all on your favorite motorcycle makes the journey as much fun as the destination."
